QUALITY APPROACH

Make “done”
mean the same thing.

A useful quality conversation starts with your product requirements and the evidence you need at handover.

01 / DOCUMENTS

An agreed build revision.

Identify the BOM, board files, drawings and assembly instructions to use. Record changes so different teams are working from the same information.

02 / MATERIALS

Defined material requirements.

Clarify customer-supplied parts, purchased components and approved substitutions. Define traceability needs before procurement begins.

03 / CHECKS

Product-specific acceptance.

Agree visual checks, functional tests and any required fixtures or instructions. Specialised testing is reviewed and quoted for the project.

04 / EXCEPTIONS

A clear change process.

Discuss non-conformances and changes before proceeding. Agree the required disposition, rework or further review with the customer.

Need certificates or a supplier review?

Ask for the current factory documentation relevant to your project. Certification scope, validity and the manufacturing entity should be reviewed as part of supplier qualification.
